It was 5miles away from the city and villagers need to visit the city on a daily basis for buying and selling of the products and services. There were no such shops in the villages. All they need is to visit the city every time. The river Kripi falls between the village and the city.There were two ways to reach the city either by crossing the river or via jungle. Neither of them worked because crossing the river would be difficult as there’s always heavy flow of water and the way of the jungle was dangerous because it was believed that there’s an evil Gripka who cuts the throat of all those who visited the jungle. Hence the Mukhya of village Lala Muktananda urges the King of Patliputra Abhiraj to build a bridge so that it eases the villagers to visit the city.
