The Flour Box

Ajay went towards the door as the bell rang again and again. It must be the milkman , murmured Ajay . He opened the door and took the milk and newspaper. Before he close the door, saw a copper box which he  never saw before . 

What kind of box is that, and went towards the box and  opened the box.This is wheat flour, what the crap it is. Whom  it belongs to ? Why it is at my door ? Ajay thought in his mind. 

He confirmed with his neighbours,it may belongs to them, but they denied. 

This is unusual, he made phone call to his friend Shardul and mention the scene , and asked what to do ?
Shardul ( laughing): What ! You got a box of flour and need my help with that? Oh it’s okay , take the box and use it Man, it’s not a big deal. Get a chill pill brother ! 

Though Ajay knew Shardul is taking it ligtly, nevertheless he agreed to use it.

Ajay kept the box in the kitchen and left the box open mistakenly and went to pick Shardul at his home for going to  office 

Shardul : Hey ! we have free time today , we may stop for breakfast. 
Ajay : For sure , why not?
They both went to Krishna Breakfast Shop and ordered Samosa and Jalebi. Oh Krishna !  Your hands are magically. What a delicious Jalebi you have made. Shardul said to Krishna who was the shop owner.
Krishna:Oh ! Don’t joke ! 
Shardul : No really. You are awesome. 
Krishna(Laughing) : Okay ! No matter what , I’m not going to allow you discount. 
Shardul: Got it. 
Ajay : How much ? 
Krishna : Only 60₹.
Ajay (Paying Money): Okay ! 
They both get on the bike and headed towards Office.

Oh ! Great Men ! You are welcome. The boss taunted. 
Where is your Presentation, your performance is pathetic, you are way behind your targets this months. And why  you are Coming  late in office ? The boss screamed. 

Shardul(convincing) : Oh Boss ! We would achieve targets by end of month. I’m sure. We would bring FD of fifty thousand, one Current Account and insurance wroth two lakh, by end of week. 
Boss : Okay ! Now get lost, you rascals. 

( They both went to market to find customers ) 

Ajay : You know what , we have actually achieved our target during first week , and now we are above target and still roaming like beggars to achieve target, because our boss gulp our business. 
Shardul : Oh common ! This happenes to the new joiners like us , this is the dirty politics they rascals play with us. 

They stopped at Rishi Complex, to go to Ajanta Watch Co.Ajay suddenly show a Box to Shardul that resemble the flour box he found at the door of his home.

Shardul went towards the box and  bowed to open it but the box blasts  before he open it. 
This scene bewildered Ajay. 
The explosion was so big that Shardul's torn hand hit Ajay's leg. Ajay was badly injured, but he still had life.

Ajay courageously raised Shardul on the shoulder and took him to the nearby hospital as the hospital was near and could not wait for Ambulance. 

Due to the blast, the police had come there and started the investigation. On the other hand Ajay rushed to his house after hospitalising Shardul. 

He reached the house and saw that the some hooligan  had reached his house, he was scared and but said with courage, what are you doing here?
Hooligan: You have stolen the box of Kalia Bhai which was kept in front of your house, we have come to get it back .
Ajay (in anger): I will not let you carry that box, that box has tried to kill my friend, I know everything about that box. 

You put the goods of death in those boxes, due to which people die.I am going to complain to the police.

The Hooligan: We have already called the police and the police must have been coming here looking for you and we will tell the police that you are a terrorist and we have got this box in your house and you have  kidnapped us. 
It happened exactly as those hooligans had said and the police arrested Ajay.
But the policeman was smart and he realized that something going wrong. He asked question about how Ajay kidnapped them and they answered differently. This  proves that the hooligans are lying. 
Now Ajay's turn. 
Police : Tell me the truth? 
He told them what happened, he urges the police to confirm with neighbours. And also in the hospital where Shardul is admitted.  
The police arrested all once and then release Ajay within two hours.

You are fired Mr. you were not answering my phone calls you bastard. And you even did not reached to 10 customers where you were supposed to reach.The boss informed over phone. Bu...phone disconnected before Ajay could answer. 

Ajay's mind was not working, what should he do now?
On the one hand, the case of police, on the other side the job was also lost and Shardul Hospitalised.

Ajay was sitting alone in the house, his neighbour Vikram came to him and showed him the social media video, which he had made this morning, the face  of the man who had left the box in front of his house was visible in the video. 

Ajay took a deep breath and walked towards the police station. He sawed the video to the police officer and the police said that they had identified the suspect and would catch them as soon as possible.
Ajay then goes to the hospital, where he is informed that his friend Shardul has passed away.

He then went to the office to talk to his boss but the boss heard nothing and exited the office through him.

The next morning comes with the news that 
“The city was bombed, 5 killed and 9 injured. There was two bomb but only one explode . The other one was unknowingly diffused by Mr Ajay Jafri. The bomb was plant in the flour box with such a technique  that it will be diffused if left open. Mr Ajay found the box at his gate and took it and left it open. The police has arrested all the accuses. The police has informed that Mr Ajay has helped them a lot. Though he lost his friend Mr Shardul Batliwala in this bombing. 

The boss read the news and realised his mistake and reappoint Ajay.

चुन्नी और लीला
