An old Monk

An old Monk
Where the treasure went

By Good Small Stories.

It was midnight, an old monk was going on his way towards river Ganga. The monk was walking in perfectly good way with closed eyes. He sat on Ramghat at the bank of river Ganga. He bowed to Ganges and went inside.

The monk was doing so every night since many years. Every night he walked into the Ganges at Ramghat but no one knew how he used to get out from Ganges ?

The monk was having good relations with the king because he used to give spiritual strength, healthy life tips and the ideas to behave well with the public.

The King had gained trust of public from such ideas and hence he loved the monk most.

The king had offered him many monetary benefits but the monk refused to take them all. Finally the king urges him to stay in the cottage which he was about to gift him.It was a small cottage with full of ventilation. Hence he had accepted the proposal.

Since everyone knew that the  Monk had no greed of wealth, the king had hide his treasure under the cottage. But somehow the warlord got its inking.

The warlord made a plan to loot the treasure, when the monk had started to go towards  the Ganges.

Warlords went inside the cottage and started digging. He continue to dig till morning but there was no treasury. This made him panicked that where the treasure went? He was sure about the hidden treasure.

Someone has already looted the treasure and now would be blamed on him , he thought.

He left from the cottage and reached to the King and informed that he noticed the cottage looted during petroling.

What the shit you are talking about, Mr. warlord ? The king screamed .

Yes ! My lord. I was on petroling and suddenly noticed that the cottage of the old monk digged and looted. Said warlord.

The warlord said to the king that its possible that the monk may had looted the treasure  and flew away as no one saw him yet since last night.Though the king believed  that the monk couldn’t loot but the monk must be here. As per the law

The king ordered the warlord, to get the monk at his palace. The warlord went in search of old monk but couldn’t traced  him.

The king was panicked that the treasure had been looted. He decided himself to visit the cottage.

He reached the cottage and noticed that  the old monk was in  deep meditation at the entrance and the king  took a deep breath and  sat beside the old monk.

This act of king  bewildered the warlord and he couldn’t stop him self to ask to the king that : Oh King ! How you can you stay without tension all your treasure has been looted and how can you sit relaxed? You almost lost everything. Said the warlord.

Before the king got time to reply to warlord, The old monk opened his eyes. The king moved towards the old monk said , oh great ! Where were you ? And who looted your cottage?

The monk smiled and said politely I was here since morning as my usual routine.

But why we couldn’t traced  you ? Asked by warlord Sometimes you sees truth in illusion and sometimes illusion in truth.

Oh king ! How can I help you , why are you here ? Said old monk .

I got news that someone has looted your cottage and I had hide my treasure under your cottage and hence I lost my treasury too. I did not told you because of security reason . Now I request you to help me with that. Said The king.

Old monk : I knew it all but Who else knew about hidden treasure?

The king (in low voice):I and couple of my soldiers who hid it and both the soldiers are staying at my palace and are my trusted soldiers. Help me to find the looter . Spoke in panicked voice

Old monk : Don’t be panicked, tell the warlord that how he knew that your treasure has been looted. When it was a secret and not known to him.  .

The king called the warlord loudly and asked where is my treasure? Reply fast. Chopped his finger with his knife. I would chop all your fingers if you not tell me the truth ?

Warlord : I tried to loot , but I didn’t got the treasure?

The king take out his sword and before he attack the old monk stopped him.

Oh great sage ! Why you stopped me ? Said The king.

You asked me to find the looter and I did that.  warlord found guilty. warlord is saying truth he dint get the treasure. Why you took out the sword ? Said old monk

Oh sage ! Then where is my treasure, help me to find it. I’ll give you half of the share. Said the king.

I don’t need treasure, your treasure is safe with me. When I go inside the river I came out from this place using hidden tunnel and that’s why I choose to live here.

Today on my way back I heard the voice of digging and so I instantly move the treasure into the tunnel and that is the reason the looter did not found the treasure. But I couldn’t find the person who did this hence I asked you who else knews the secret of hidden treasure.

Oh sage ! My dear monk ! In what ways I should thank  you , my whole life would be sort to pay you dues.

There are many such kind of monks and warlord surrounding us in real life we need to find them.

God gives us solution before the problem but we need to find it.

Throat Cutter

Throat Cutter Love to Motherland. By Good Small Stories There was a village named Kripka near the ancient city of Pataliputra. It was 5miles away from the city and villagers need to visit the city on a daily basis for buying and selling of the products and services. There were no such shops in the villages. All they need is to visit the city every time. The river Kripi falls between the village and the city. There were two ways to reach the city either by crossing the river or via jungle. Neither of them worked because crossing the river would be difficult as there’s always heavy flow of water and the way of the jungle was dangerous because it was believed that there’s an evil Gripka who cuts the throat of all those who visited the jungle.  Hence the Mukhya of village Lala Muktananda urges the King of Patliputra Abhiraj to build a bridge so that it eases the villagers to visit the city. Abhiraj has little interest in those villagers as he has much more to do and the villagers are ne...

Ajay went towards the door as the bell rang again and again. It must be the milkman , murmured Ajay . He opened the door and took the milk and newspaper. Before he close the door, saw a copper box which he  never saw before .  What kind of box is that, and went towards the box and  opened the box. This is wheat flour, what the crap it is. Whom  it belongs to ? Why it is at my door ? Ajay thought in his mind.  He confirmed with his neighbours,it may belongs to them, but they denied.  This is unusual, he made phone call to his friend Shardul and mention the scene , and asked what to do ? Shardul ( laughing): What ! You got a box of flour and need my help with that? Oh it’s okay , take the box and use it Man, it’s not a big deal. Get a chill pill brother !  Though Ajay knew Shardul is taking it ligtly, nevertheless he agreed to use it. Ajay kept the box in the kitchen and left the box open mistakenly and went to pick Shardul at his home for going to  ...
